The year is 1996,
Local couple Jeff and Shelly Dansie create a sign company to meet the needs of their growing community. In between working their normal day jobs and growing their family, the couple was able to expand what we know today as Rainbow Sign and Design. Their hard work and positive attitudes paid off and led to opportunities for them to grow within the Cedar City community.
As we celebrate 25 years of business and success, we want to share some of the tremendous milestones Rainbow has made along the way.
2005
Rainbow decides to expand their company and create Decorworx.
Through this, Rainbow continues to serve local businesses, and Decorworx can serve independent grocers at a bigger scale and beyond the intermountain west.
When our partners succeed, we succeed. Decorworx’s custom décor and installation have helped some of the most popular independent grocery stores in the nation such as Harmons, Piggly Wiggly, and Brookshires.
2006
Our next big step is to purchase the printing facility in Associated Foods which is now referred to as Decorworx Salt Lake City. Through this partnership, we have been able to serve hundreds of grocery stores in Utah and Idaho, such as Macey’s, Broulim’s, and Lin’s.
2016
As the company grew, the Dansie’s decided the next big step was to move our headquarters. After years of searching, they took a leap of faith and purchased a vacant bus depot in the heart of Cedar City.
2017
After an extensive renovation, Rainbow and Decorworx found their new home at 451 N. Main St. This bus depot was originally built in 1923 to serve the busses that operated under the infamous Utah Parks Company.
2020
The company wanted to expand helping businesses beyond décor.
Thus, Train’d is created with the hopes of helping businesses define and align with their company’s strategy. Through Train’d, businesses collaborate with us in a highly interactive 2 to 3-day workshop that will set their team up for success. This curriculum will ultimately save time, energy, and money for companies in the long run.
2021
The Decorworx team expanded once again by adding a Texas install team. Creating this base not only strengthened our presence in Texas but also helped us simplify our processes with the Brookshires grocery chain.
2022
Rainbow has assisted thousands of partners in Southwestern Utah including Southern Utah University, the Cedar City Police Department, and Southwest Tech. With 25 years of experience, over 70 employees, and lasting partnerships within the community, our mission remains the same, to help local businesses love where they live and work.
